Project Details
- BP wanted to build an open-source monitoring platform for their network.
- We started with requirement gathering and wanted to build features which are most useful and are available on popular enterprise tools.
- Created monitoring and alerting for various network components like network switches routers, incoming and outgoing traffic, threshold and latency etc.
- We worked with devices from manufacturers like Cisco, Aruba etc.
- The monitoring platform was able to provide functionality similar to many enterprise tools like Solarwinds etc.
- We used tools like InfluxDB, Grafana, Ansible, Python, Jenkins, Cloud and related DevOps tools and processes.
- I received an award for creating a monitoring solution for network components using all open-source tools.
